The rules are simple… Run as far as you can and back in 24 hours from (or near from) your home. The final distance is measured as the crow flies from the start to the turnaround point, with medals for 15, 30 & 45 miles.

For me, that meant running over 104 miles for a 45-mile medal. Running 100 miles has always been one of those running goals I thought I would one day get around too. I was never sure I would have the time (or inclination) to train for it, but if you’re a trail or ultra runner, you will know the 100 miler is the holy grail so it was always on the back burner.

Until I signed up for Day Release by Beyond Marathon. I crunched the numbers and in theory, this would be the perfect opportunity to give it a try.

Join me in Day Release – Running 100 miles in less than 24 hours. Thanks for watching.
